Juliat Nasr running for Christian Democratic Party (Fred Nile Group) at Fairfield city council election as the Fairfield Mayor Candidate and group lead for Parks ward

By way of background, I was born in Kirkuk Iraq and immigrated to Australia in 1979. I have been a resident in the Fairfield Local Council area for over 25 years.  I am very passionate about our area.  So much so, that I have raised my family of two children (Julius , a University Graduate and  Rachel -in her second year university).  I am happily married to Clint a lawyer.

I stand for traditional societal and family values.  The traditional family unit is the very fabric which keeps society together.

I have extensive experience in working in accounts.  Such experience includes 14 years in the NSW Public Service (Premiers  Department and Dept of Local Government),  and other public and private companies to name few Kone Elevators, Tetra Pak, NRMA, MTUDDA.  In those positions I led teams of professionals.

What I stand for

By way of a general statement, I feel that some council have lost sight of matters which impact on the daily lives of the residents and have been hijacked by other agendas which either have no impact or adversely impact on our way of life.

So far as Roads are concerned, I undertake to work with the Council and to petition the State Government to improve our roads and footpaths.  Many of our roads and footpaths are in desperate need of repair.

So far as rates are concerned, I undertake to deliver the best possible value to the residents of Fairfield and do my very best to minimize any rates increases.

I stand for local business.  I hope to provide the environment for new businesses to be established and flourish

I stand for better transport for our residents- I undertake to petition the NSW Government to refurbish Fairfield and Canley Vale railway stations.

I stand for lower crime rates.  I undertake to liaise with the local police to achieve safer streets.

I stand for better street lights, play areas for children and increase family values. I stand to serve Fairfield residents with truth, honesty and integrity which form some of CDP values.
